One team. Two languages. A whole lot to prove.

For the first time, Jackson Middle School’s soccer team is going co-ed, thanks to Nicky’s determination. But not everyone is ready to welcome the girls. Team captain Al is determined to keep Nicky and Fabiola off the field, and when his rivalry with Nicky threatens to divide the team, everyone must decide where they stand.

As Palmer begins to uncover the real reasons behind Nicky’s determination to play, the players discover that the biggest challenges may have nothing to do with soccer. With friendship, fairness, and teamwork on the line, they’ll have to learn what it truly means to play together.

Featuring engaging storytelling and text in both English and Spanish, Offside is an inspiring graphic novel about standing up for yourself, challenging expectations, and discovering that the greatest victories happen when a team unites.

A winning read for soccer fans and anyone who believes everyone deserves a place on the team!
